As long as I can remember, I loved my John Nagy and Venus Paradise art kits. I enjoyed drawing, in and out of school. Almost 30 years ago, when my hands were temporarily disabled by a bout of painful carpel tunnel, my desire for mark making deepened with a constant and compelling need to explore ink and water-media with flowing brush pens. Playing with repetition, variety, and unity to create and compose fluid marks led to a meditative practice of intuitive exercises that may, in fact, be likened to an all-encompassing warm-up for strengthening my visual language.  My art seeks to visually explore the human condition in new, contemplative ways that engage the viewer.

“My artwork centers on visual mark-making that also serves as my meditation practice.”
